About Myself

I am a born again Christian and I had been blogging till a few years ago. I have seven blogs on www.blogspot.com (these were closed more than 10 years ago) and one on www.wordpress.com (this blog titled ‘Knowing God’). [There is an old blog on http://www.livejournal.com, but I think it’s lost.]

After discovering Facebook, I moved over to Facebook a few years ago. I have a popular Facebook Page titled ‘Day by Day with Christ’. I have been active on Facebook for some years now. I write under the name Jonathan Kirby.

I thought I should revive this blog on http://www.wordpress.com by getting my Facebook posts published here on tebeth.wordpress.com as a sort of ‘back-up’. That’s the reason why I have revived this blog (formerly called borax.wordpress.com). I have titled it with a Biblical name ‘Tebeth’ which is the Jewish name for the tenth month, corresponding to January.

The main intention of my being on Facebook or WordPress is to get people to know Christ and to know Him in a true and real way. There are many people out on the Internet who are hungering for reality, longing for the truth, struggling to find meaning and purpose in life. Let me tell you, the reality, the truth, the meaning and purpose of life is JESUS CHRIST. It is my earnest desire that you be comforted, revived, inspired, strengthened, established in the faith and in your Christian walk, through reading and meditating on these posts of mine. Many of these posts are based on the writings of great men of God. In a world where a false and shallow Christianity prevails, it is necessary to know and follow the way of truth (so that we are not enslaved by various deceptions). This blog honours the Word of God, and its entire focus is on Him who is the Way, the Truth and the Life. (John 14.6)

May the living and loving Lord speak to you as you ponder over the posts in this blog, and may the Spirit of God work in such a way that you may be truly converted; while those who are converted (born again) may grow spiritually and become a blessing to many, while bearing fruit for God’s glory (John 15.8).

  4. Well it seems to me you’re one top blogger, and the best bit is it’s not that just have something to say, but you’ve got so much to say about JESUS!
Keep up the good work and feel free to join in skypecasting for Jesus, to evangelise all peoples of the world before Christ soon returns to take us home.

Thanks so much for your insight! I was a Calvinist for fifteen years, but am now part of the Holy Spirit Catholic Fellowship of believers. Jesus loves all people, all races, all cultures, all economic backgrounds. Mother Teresa’s life inspired me to see Jesus in the dying faces of the poor. But mostly, the Lord compels us to love the poorest of the poor. God bless you!

Referencing some of your work for my Bible Study! Thank you so much for this! I will share with my group! I love your perspective! Curious as to how you got so smart and wise! lol!! No seriously! Did you go to seminary or did the Holy Spirit just motivate you to self teach and listen to Him?

Either way, I’m a fan. God bless you, Jonathan.

No, never went to a seminary or Bible school! All this was learnt through the discipline of the Holy Spirit. Thank you for your good wishes. God bless you too, Gilbert!
